A significant part of the exhibition will be devoted to work of François Théodore Legras, glass artist: bottles topics, carafes, liqueur trays or cabinets, beer services … but also the history of the bottle will be told. You will discover earthenware, stoneware or even wood bottles … and a beautiful collection of corkscrews. Surprising pieces and also other equally surprising objects: unusual and splendid tobacco pots, anthropomorphic, zoomorphic … finally, an original exhibition of containers watching with admiration but whose contents are to use with a very great moderation. The Godfather of this new exhibition will be Jean Robert Pitte who wrote a book, published in 2014 titled ‘The history of the wine bottle, history of a revolution.’
When Bottles, Pots and Jars Overshadow Their Contents
